Cassie, my former swap pal, over at Crafty Crow is having a bunch of really great give away contests this week. Go leave her a comment and you might win big!
Here is our rather pathetic looking cat in a dolly stroller. He likes to sleep in it, even while being pushed around the house by the 3 year old. He is free of the collar now as we had to cut it off him yesterday during a choking episode. How he got his jaw stuck in it we will never quite know...he is much happier to be free of it though and the stitches come out tomorrow - yah!
And there is more knitting, but no photos as the husband has taken the camera with photos on it to the golf course - he is hoping to see monkeys and monitor lizards again. I am knitting a lot though. On the needles is one of these, only in pink. I have a newfound love of all things Elizabeth Zimmermann.
This is a shrine at the bus station in Singapore - I asked our bus stewardess (what Greyhound doesn't have those either?) what it was all about and her reply was the Thai people worship it. It was interesting to see people praying and lightening insence and then hopping onto their buses...
I started a 2nd pair of Noro socks yesterday - not sure how they will turn out. But I do love these....a lot.
I also have been accumulating a pile of hats. Hats for the 2 younger kids, a few hats for myself and husband. A literal tower of hats.
There will be a lot more knitting today as I have to sit first through hours of fencing club and then more hours as the oldest takes an entrance exam. How on earth can it be that our new posting only has 1 private school for his grade? Shocking!
I have had two very good visits with my oldest friend in the world recently. Antonia was my next door neighbour for a time in Harare, Zimbabwe. She was my classmate all the years we lived there and a dear friend. Her parents also appeared at all the parties and events that I can recall from my childhood. It was such fun catching up and hearing the wonderful accent again - Antonia sounds exactly like her mother - though I might keep that to myself!
